Pump alarm and Troubleshooting

 

The pump has a number of different alarm functions; indicating necessary action or alerting to errors that need to be corrected.
Note that the pump must be handled with care. Do not press on the display. Protect the feeding mechanism and pressure-sensing device at the pump base. Attach an empty cassette or wrap in shock-absorbing material before transportation.

Messages and Alarms 

Description
Battery Depleted  TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms  The battery power is too low to operate the pump.
The pump is now stopped.
- Change the batteries immediately
- Press and hold _ to restart the pump.
Battery Removed
Pump won´t run 
TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms  With the AC adapter attached, the AA batteries have been removed while the pump is running, or you have tried to start the pump with depleted Batteries. The pump is now stopped. Press STOPP/START or NEXT to silence the alarm. Reinstall batteries or install new batteries. Press and hold STOPP/START to restart the pump.
(NO MESSAGE)  TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms  With no AC adapter attached, the batteries have been removed while the pump is running. The pump is now stopped and unpowered. Install batteries to silence the alarm.
OR
Batteries were removed within approximately 15 seconds After stopping the pump. Install new batteries to silence the alarm, if desired. Otherwise, the alarm will stop within a short period of time.
Error  TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms   An error has occurred. Remove the pump from service and contact Customer Service to return the pump for service.
High Pressure  TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms   The pump has detected high pressure, which may be downstream blockage, kink in the fluid path or a closed camp. Remove the obstruction to resume operation. Or press NEXT or STOPP/START to stop the pump and silence the alarm for 2 minutes, then remove the obstruction and restart the pump.
Key pressed, Please release  TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms   If a key is being pressed, stop pressing it. If the alarm persists close the tubing clamp and remove the pump from use. Contact Customer Service to return the pump for service.
LowBat  THREE - TWO-TONE BEEPS EVERY 5 MINUTES   The batteries are low, but the pump is still operable.
* Change the batteries soon.
Motor Locked, remove all power  TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms  Batteries are depleted and the pump was powered up with the AC Adapter. Install new AA batteries, reconnect the AC adapter, and restart the pump.
No Disposable, Clamp Tubing TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms  The disposable (the Enteral Medication Cassete Reservoir) was removed. Clamp the tubing or immediately disconnect From your enteral access device. An Enteral Medication Cassette Reservoir must be properly attached in order for the pump to run. Press STOPP/START or NEXT to silence the alarm. Very cold or extremely thick medications may cause this alarm as well. Allow medications to thaw to room temperature before attaching to the pump. Or, The Enteral Medication Cassette Reservoir is nearly empty. Replace The Enteral Medication Cassette Reservoir, if applicable.
No Disposable, Pump won´t run  TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms  You have tried to start the pump without a disposable (Enteral Medication Cassette Reservoir) attached. An Enteral Medication Cassette Reservoir must be properly attached in order for the pump to run. Press STOPP/START or NEXT to silence the alarm.
Power lost while pump was on  TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms  The pump was running when power was removed. Stop the pump before changing the batteries or removing the power source. Press STOPP/START or NEXT to silence the alarm.
Programming Incomplete  TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms
WHEN STARTING THE PUMP 
A rate or dose must be programmed to start the pump. Press STOPP/START or NEXT to silence the alarm.
Remote Dose Cord Removed  Two single beeps when pump Stopped;
Two-tone alarm when pump running 
The remote dose cord was removed. Reinsert connector or Cord Removed silence the alarm.
Reservoir Volume Empty  TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms   The Reservoir Volume has reached 0.0 ml. Press STOPP/START or NEXT to stop the alarm. Then install a new fluid container if appropriate and reset the reservoir volume.
RUN Res Vol Low  THREE SINGLE BEEPS The Reservoir Volume is low. Change the fluid container soon. See Reservoir Volume alarm in Section 1 for further details.
Service Due  TWO-TONE Messages and Alarms Service is due for this pump based on clock battery age or total motor revolutions. This screen will appear while in 1.1.0 only for 60 days and then in all lock levels until returned for service.
Upstream Occlusion  TRE TVÅTONSSIGNALER VAR 5:E MINUT  Medication is not flowing from the medication bag inside the Enteral Medication Cassette Reservoir to the pumping mechanism ( a nearly empty Enteral Medication Cassette Reservoir can cause this alarm; change the Enteral Medication Cassette Reservoir, if applicable). Make sure that the cassette is properly attached to the pump and the tubing is not kinked. Press STOPP/START or NEXT to stop the pump and silence the alarm for 2 minutes, then remove the obstruction and press _ to restart the pump. You may have to detach the cassette from the pump, then reattach it.
Value not saved  A value was not saved by pressing ENTER/DELETE. Press NEXT to resume programming.
