Duodopa therapy tube system - pertaining to the Swedish PEG
The connector combines the outer and inner tubes and must also fit the cassette tube. The connections must always be thoroughly tightened and secured with tape, or the inner tube may be displaced or entirely lost into the gastrointestinal tract.
The different parts of the connectors have numbers; this makes it easier to discuss problems on the telephone.
The tube system consists of an outer tube (attached to the stomach wall) and an inner tube (running from the green connection, through the outer tube and into the duodenum).
